We are looking for a full time Educational Leader to join our Child Care team to help us maintain our high standard of service.

Your role

We are seeking a self-motivated, dedicated and passionate person to support our Family Day Care and In-Home Care educators to provide consistent high-quality service.

This is a full-time position and it will be based at our office located in Beaudesert. The position is paid at Level 3 of the Family Day Care Employee classification structure of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award. Pay point will be based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Service’s focus on educational outcomes in line with Assessment and Rating process
  • Coordinating the service evidence for Assessment and Rating process
  • Visiting educators to monitor the quality of child care, assess care practices and provide feedback 
  • Identifying and addressing improvements for practices 
  • Facilitating activities to support children including supporting new children in care
  • Recruitment and assessment of potential educators, provide parents and educators with support information, advocacy and referral services 
  • Enhancing educators’ skills and professional development through training, information and resources
  • Planning and developing effective procedures to meet each child and family’s needs including those with disabilities or other special needs and considering cultural and religious requirements. Develop and review inclusion support plans as needed
  • Collaboratively maintain the Quality Improvement Plan and prepare for Assessment and Rating process as a lead role
  • Supporting the Child Care team and Beaucare to achieve our strategic goals and maintain our strong reputation

Your Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of child development 0-12 years
  • High level knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework; My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Knowledge of health, hygiene and safety practices including infection control and risk management
  • High level communication skills
  • Efficient computer skills
  • Ability to work in partnership with families and educators to develop strategies to appropriately meet their needs and interests
  • High level organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to implement and follow policies and procedures to promote quality child care

Mandatory requirements

  • Approved Diploma level education and care qualification
  • Positive Notice Blue Card - or eligible to obtain
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check- can be applied for prior to starting
  • Current drivers’ licence 
  • Reliable motor vehicle
  • Current full First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis - or willing to complete prior to starting
  • Police Check within the last 6 months
  • Provider Register Access (PRODA) or able to gain access
  • Child Protection Certificate - or willing to do prior to starting
  • COVID-19 Vaccination certificate
