We are seeking an organised, passionate, and community-focused Child Care Coordinator to join our team supporting our Family Day Care and In-Home Care families.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood professional who values high-quality care, strong educator relationships, and supporting families within a supportive environment. Whilst this role is a temporary parental leave backfill position, there is potential for the role to become permanent, subject to funding approval.

Beaucare Family Day Care & In Home Child Care have been committed to supporting families and educators for over 35 years. At the heart of our service are strong relationships with educators, families and children and we are seeking an experienced and committed coordinator to support quality care in a home-based setting. This role is based in Beaudesert which is in the beautiful Scenic Rim. We are located 45 minutes from the centre of Logan, and 1 hour from Ipswich and the Gold Coast. Travel will be required to visit and support families and educators in areas including Beaudesert, Logan, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Flexibility with start and finish times to accommodate educator visits, family needs, and operational needs will be required.

About the Role

As the Child Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating and supporting educators, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining high standards of education and care across our Family Day Care and In-Home Care services.

You will work closely with families, educators, and the broader community to ensure children receive safe, nurturing, and engaging care experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Our office is in Beaudesert, and this is a full time, temporary parental leave backfill position paid under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award as a Family Day Care Employee Level 3. The pay point will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Pending subsequent funding, this position may extend to permanent employment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Visiting educators to ensure practices meet service policies and legislative requirements and to provide feedback
  • In home child care visits to families' homes
  • Maintaining the service focus on educational outcomes in line with Assessment and Rating process
  • Maintaining the Quality Improvement Plan and Quality Improvement actions register in collaboration with the Educational Leader
  • Recruitment of potential educators, and assessment of their homes and members of their household
  • Providing support, information, advocacy and referral services to parents and educators
  • Providing training, information, and resources to enhance educator's skills and professional development
  • Planning and developing procedures to meet child and family's needs and develop and review inclusion support plans as needed
  • Actively promote and embed child protection and the National Principles for Child Safe organisations
  • Supporting the Child Care team and Beaucare to achieve our strategic goals and maintain our strong reputation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience working in Early Childhood Education
  • Educational Leader experience highly regarded
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of child development 0-12 years
  • Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework; My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Competent computer skills - Microsoft office suite and experience using databases and electronic management systems
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Mandatory Requirements

  • Approved and JP certified Diploma level education and care qualification
  • Current Working with Children Check (or eligible to obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain prior to commencement)
  • National Police Check obtained in the last 6 months
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates (must be obtained prior to commencement)
  • Evidence of completion of Child Protection and Child Safety training
  • Provider Digital Access (PRODA) number (must be obtained prior to commencement)
  • Current driver's licence
  • Reliable, roadworthy and insured vehicle
