Family Day Care Coordinator / Educational Leader

We are seeking a passionate, and community-focused Coordinator/Educational Leader to join our team supporting our wonderful educators to offer highly customised, play based learning in a warm, intimate home environment.

At Beaucare we have been committed to supporting both families and educators for over 35 years using the Family Day Care model. The role is based in Beaudesert, in the beautiful Scenic Rim area of South East Queensland and your role will include travelling to educators across the Scenic Rim, Logan, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, enjoying our beautiful scenery on the way! You will on occasion need to have some flexibility with your start and finish times to meet the needs of our families and educators.

About the role

As the Educational Leader/Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting educators to create a curious, safe, and exciting sanctuary where children can play, learn and explore. You will ensure that educators are maintaining high standards of education and care, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visiting educators to ensure they are providing a service which best meets the needs of families and especially the children in their care. Also meeting Beaucare service policies and all legislative requirements including actively promoting and embedding child protection strategies
  • Maintaining the service focus on a curriculum of activities to meet educational outcomes in line with the assessment and rating process including the development in inclusion support plans as required
  • Maintaining the Quality Improvement Plan
  • Recruitment of high-quality Educators, assessment and ongoing monitoring
  • Providing support, information, advocacy and referral services to parents and educators
  • Supporting the Beaucare Child Care team to achieve strategic goals and maintain our strong reputation

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A commitment to ensuring children receive the best quality care possible
  • Three years or more of demonstrated experience working in Early Childhood Education
  • Understanding of the My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Framework
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills including an optimistic and enthusiastic attitude
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills
  • Competency with computers and IT including use of Microsoft Office and experience using databases and electronic management systems

Mandatory Requirements

  • Approved and JP certified Diploma level education and care qualification
  • Current Working with Children Check (or eligible to obtain prior to commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain prior to commencement)
  • National Police Check obtained in the last 6 months
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates (must be obtained prior to commencement)
  • Evidence of completion of Child Protection and Child Safety training
  • Provider Digital Access (PRODA) number (must be obtained prior to commencement)
  • Current driver's licence
  • Reliable, roadworthy and insured vehicle
