Do you enjoy working outdoors and supporting others? We are looking for a Crew Leader to join our House to Yard team to deliver essential garden maintenance services to our aged care and disability clients.

This is a unique opportunity to combine practical, on the tools work with day-to-day coordination of a House to Yard crew mixed in with a little bit of administrative work!

About the role

The Crew Leader is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of a vehicle and a staff member in the delivery of mowing and garden maintenance services to Beaucare clients. Service delivery area includes the Scenic Rim and southern Logan and surrounds.

This is a part time role (4 days per week) paid at either Level 2 or Level 3 (experience dependent) as a Social and Community Services employee under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS).

Responsibilities include:

  • To coordinate a House to Yard crew to ensure clients receive quality garden maintenance services in line with CHSP funding guidelines, NDIS and Support at Home
  • Work with the Senior Administrator to ensure appropriate staff rostering, job allocation and service delivery priorities
  • Hands on support to deliver garden maintenance services which include mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, rubbish removal and other general yard maintenance
  • Provide support to a House to Yard Worker and lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude promoting a positive team culture
  • Ensure equipment maintenance is completed in a time efficient manner
  • Complete risk assessments and ensure that all policies and procedures and WH&S processes are followed and relevant training completed
  • Ensure all administrative documentation is completed

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in some garden maintenance
  • Understanding of risk management and Workplace Health and Safety
  • Sound interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use technology required to deliver services

Mandatory requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain)
  • Positive Notice Blue Card (or eligible to obtain) 
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Drivers' licence
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
