Play a key role to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes to ensure our Aged Care clients receive the high quality and person-centred care they need by coordinating rosters and managing key administrative tasks. Working from our office located in Beaudesert, this full-time role allows you to support and connect with our clients throughout the Scenic Rim and Southern Logan region.

About the role

The Rostering/Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining fortnightly staff rosters for our Aged Care team along with providing administrative support for the Aged Care program. This position requires a 7:30am start Monday to Friday. As rostering is a core function of the role, an early start is essential to manage same-day roster adjustments, respond to unplanned staff absences, and ensure continuity of care for clients.

Duties will include the following:

  • Create and maintain staff rosters to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Manage roster changes, unplanned leave and service adjustments
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with staff regarding roster changes and service updates
  • Liaise with clients by telephone to advise of changes to scheduled services, ensuring information is communicated promptly, professionally and with a strong focus on customer care
  • Coordinate staff availability and client support requirements
  • Respond quickly to changes, make sound decisions under pressure and keep everything on track
  • Maintain accurate staff and client records within organisational systems
  • Manage day to day administrative duties to support the Aged Care team including generating reports and maintaining files in line with relevant legislative and quality standards
  • Develop and implement group program activities for social outings

This is a full-time role paid at Level 2 as a Social and Community Services employee under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS). Pay point will be dependent on your experience.

  • Passionate about supporting older people to live well and achieve their goals
  • Strong and proven administration skills
  • Highly developed verbal, telephone and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable - a fast thinker with initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under the pressure of deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and resolve issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Tech savvy with a high level of confidence using Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word) along with an ability to adapt to other IT systems and programs

Mandatory requirements

  • Previous scheduling and rostering experience using electronic client management systems
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance Card (or eligible to obtain)
  • Positive Notice Blue Card (or eligible to obtain)
  • Drivers' licence
